Before we knew it
She was gone
No time to grieve
Or even shed a tear.
The times were such
That she went off alone
And left us all
Speechless and confused
Old memories came flooding back
Where did that miduki go ?
What went wrong and where ?
Such a multifaceted lady
Far and wide she was known
Dynamic, spirited and talented
Were her hallmarks
We siblings gave her a wide berth
Always the leader and livewire
Never say die was she
Her lovely soprano
Could be heard in many a choir
And wedding or funeral too
Unsung she had to go
A silent prayer
A song on our lips
Was all we could do
The church was her life
She was serene
And made her peace it seems
As she joined the celestial choir
Good bye dear chechi
We miss you and celebrate your life
May your spirit go on forever.
